The last Karosa of the last Karosas in Pilsen city transport. This is the simple way to describe this bus in our historical vehicle park which every younger memory keeper and transport enthusiast would gladly take a ride.
After being taken out of regular service on August 30, 2019, the vehicle was transferred to the historical vehicle park, where it was not left to deteriorate but was maintained in operational condition. In 2023, it was brought in for reconstruction to the condition after production. The reconstruction of the vehicle was completed in January 2024. With this, PMDP, a.s. owns and offers interested parties a complete series of bus history from Karosa.
At the end of 1996, ten buses of the then-new 900 series were delivered to the Pilsen Transport Company from the Karosa factory in Vysoké Mýto. The 900 series followed the long-standing production of the 700 series. Here, the already "well-tuned" type of buses was further refined, thanks in part to collaboration with the french Renault. Therefore, it's no wonder that this type continued to be successfully produced in further modernizations until the beginning of 2007.

In 1997, Pilsen city decided that all subsequent new vehicles for urban transport would only be in low-floor bodywork design. Thus, the mentioned 10 buses delivered in 1996 were also the last buses with a standard floor height and also manufactured in the Karosa Vysoké Mýto factory. Riding on this vehicle and, if applicable, its older predecessors such as the 706 RTO, ŠM 11, and B 731, you can compare the evolution in the development of Czechoslovak buses for urban transport from the 1950s to the end of the last century.
The bus has a capacity of 32 seats and a recommended 23 standing places.
The bus cannot be operated from November 1st to March 31st.
